Religious programs organised on the Prakash Purab of Guru Ram Das ji
Every year, various religious programs are organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, dedicated to the Prakash Puran of the fourth king of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji. Religious competitions are also organized to educate children in Gurmat and Sikh history. Meanwhile, a written religious examination of school children took place at Gurdwara Manji Sahib hall in Gwalior. Nearly 180 children of 37 schools in the districts of Amritsar, Amritsar and Gurdaspur, which are being run by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, took an active interest. Presently, the Shiromani Committee's Additional Secretary Balwinder Singh Jaudsingh said that every year written exams, lectures, poems, poetry, painting and quiz competition of school students from across Punjab are organized for the promotion of Sikhism in the children dedicated to Guru Ramdas Ji's Prakash Purab. Under which, brief life of Guru Ramdas ji, Japji sahib and written examination of the Sikh code of conduct has been taken. S. Jaussingh also informed that similarly on 20 Sept Speech competition will be held in Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib at the Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, a poetry competition will be held on September 21, and other competitions will be held. He said that the students who are getting first, second and third place in the competition will be honored specially. On this occasion, Additional Secretary, Mr. Balwinder Singh Jogar Singh, Sulakhan Singh Manager, S. Sukhraj Singh and S. Baghel Singh, Additional Manager, Kabbal Singh Leharka Supervisor, Bibi Amarjeet Kaur, Bibi Ranjit Kaur, Bibi Kirandeep Kaur and Bibi Palwinder Kaur Scholar, S. Gurbhej Singh, S. Jaspal Singh, S.
