250 boxes of illegal liquor seized in Moga
In a night-long operation carried out on a tip-off by liquor contractors, the local police recovered 250 boxes (3,000 bottles) of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country-made liquor from a truck on the outskirts of Chupkitti village in Moga.
However, two smugglers managed to flee from the spot.
A criminal case under the Excise Act has been registered against the two accused and efforts were on to nab them.
