Madhya Pradesh government announced that from now on, it would be mandatory for school students in the state to answer their roll-call with “Jai Hind”.

As the new session will begin after the summer break, the new mandate by Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government will come into effect.

The order was issued on May 15 and was signed by the deputy secretary school education Pramod Singh. It says that it is now compulsory for all the students answer all the roll calls by a Jai Hind.

"It has now been made compulsory for all 1.22 lakh government schools in the state to answer attendance roll calls by saying Jai Hind instead of yes sir/ma'am. This is the decision taken by state government to instil patriotism among students." The private schools are likely to be issued this advisory too.
