Bharat Bandh today: The Confederation of All India Traders called for Bharat Bandh on Friday against the fuel price hike, Goods and Services Tax, and other issues.
- Commercial markets to remain closed across the country
- Over 40,000 traders’ associations are participating
- Private transport to be hit as AITWA asked all transport companies announced to park their vehicles between 6 am and 8 pm as a symbolic protest
- Movement of Bill-oriented goods to be affected
- Dharnas to be held at 1,500 places nationwide
- Movement on 40 lakh roads to be affected
- All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) and Bhaichara All India Truck Operator Welfare Association (BAITOWA) to not participate
