Blasphemous act: Flipkart Sells mats With Sri Harmandir Sahib Pictures

After Amazon, now Flipkart has garnered wrath for hurting religious sentiments of Sikh people.  This time, the online shopping site was selling mats featuring Sri Harmandir Sahib pictures on it.

After the e-commerce giant, Flipkart displayed mats carrying images of Sri Harmandir Sahib on its website, members of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) opposed this move.

Earlier, SGPC has lodged a police complaint and also sent a legal notice to the largest e-retailer, Amazon for printing images of the Golden temple on rugs and doormats. They were listed on sale on its website. SGPC then demanded an apology from the company for hurting Sikh sentiments.
