Almost 22 years after he went missing, the remains of a man were found after someone zoomed in on his former neighbourhood in Florida, US, using Google Maps and spotted a car submerged in a lake. The remains were identified as those of William Moldt, who was reported missing in 1997 at the age of 40, sources said.

A former resident of Grand Isles in Wellington, Florida was zooming in on the lake in the area using Google maps when he noticed a car submerged in the water. He contacted an area resident, who used a drone to confirm that a white car was indeed submerged in the pond behind his house.

A police team was alerted and the car, containing the remains, was fished out of the water. According to sources, Moldt visited a nightclub in 1997 and left before midnight, apparently sober. He was also reported to have called his girlfriend to tell her he would be back soon.
