AstraZeneca admits its Covid-19 vaccine can cause TTS in very rare cases

PTC News Desk: AstraZeneca has admitted for the first time that its Covid vaccination "can, in very rare cases, cause TTS". The disclosure was made in a legal document filed with the High Court in February.  The Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccination was sold globally under the brand names Covishield and Vaxzevria, among others.

The company claimed in the statement that TTS can occur even without vaccination, and that expert testimony will be required to determine causation in each particular case.

AstraZeneca has been facing a class action lawsuit alleging that its Covid vaccine, produced with the University of Oxford, caused a number of deaths and significant injuries.

The attorneys claim that the vaccination had a "devastating effect" on some households.

Last year, Jamie Scott, a father of two, filed his first complaint against the British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology firm.

In his complaint, Scott stated that he got a "blood clot and a bleed on his brain," resulting in serious neurological impairment. He blamed the situation on the AstraZeneca Covid vaccination, which he received in April 2021. The hospital even advised Scott's wife that he would not be able to survive. AstraZeneca is defending these claims in court.
