CCTV cameras to check reckless disposal of garbage in Haryana

The Karnal Municipal Corporation (KMC) is soon going to install CCTV cameras to check the reckless disposal of Garbage in the district. The authorities will be installing CCTV cameras at twenty different locations. The authorities want to keep a check that how residents dump garbage.

The installation of cameras has already started and all the dumping points would be equipped with cameras very soon. The authorities told the media sources that they are hoping to catch the offenders who dump the garbage along the roadside. They will then take a strict action against them. They are also hopeful that with this move they would be able to transform Karnal into a garbage-free city. In the year 2017, Karnal city has achieved the special award for being the cleanest city in North India.

The authorities told the media sources that installing CCTV cameras would discourage people to throw garbage in open space. They would impose fines on the offenders who dump garbage alongside the road.

They also hope to secure the top position in Swachh Survekshan-2019.
