Cinema Halls to remain CLOSED in Punjab, Ramlilas allowed

The Punjab government has decided not to open multiplexes, cinema halls and entertainment parks in the state yet. This was announced in a tweet by Raveen Thukral, CM’s media adviser.

However, staging of Ramlila will be allowed with strict COVID SOP's. The other details will be announced after COVID-19 review meeting by the CM.

However, The Centre has allowed cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes to reopen with up to 50 per cent seating capacity across the country from October 15 (today) in areas outside the containment zones.

The Government has also allowed Business-to-Business exhibitions, swimming pools for sportspersons to reopen. Schools and coaching institutions have been given permission to resume operations in a graded manner.

Also, social, religious and political gatherings are allowed with a flexible limit of 100 people outside containment zones. The MHA has also given nod to sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, political events with a cap of 100 persons outside containment zones.
