Punjab: Six doctors at Faridkot hospital test positive for Coronavirus

While coronavirus cases in Punjab have crossed 8000-mark, 6 doctors in Faridkot have tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. According to the information, all 6 of them are from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital. Of these doctors, 5 of them are from the orthopedic department. A total of 9 doctors from medical colleges have tested positive within six days. Of the total, 7 doctors are from the orthopedic department while one doctor is from the anesthesia department and another is an MBBS intern. Also, the mother of an IAS officer was staying in a guest house, in Faridkot also tested positive on Tuesday. It is pertinent to mention that all the doctors were asymptomatic but tested positive. Recently, the medical college had sent 15 other medical students and junior resident doctors to quarantine after they were suspected of coronavirus.
