Now next step is to construct grand memorial at birthplace of Goddess Sita: Amit Shah

PTC Web Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a significant announcement on Thursday, stating that the BJP would undertake the construction of a temple dedicated to Goddess Sita in Bihar's Sitamarhi.

Addressing a rally in Sitamarhi, Amit Shah expressed the BJP's unwavering commitment to building the temple, highlighting the party's resolve to honour the revered figure of Goddess Sita. He said, "We, the BJP, don't get scared of the 'vote bank'. PM Modi has built the temple of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, and now the next step is to construct a grand memorial at the birthplace of Maa Sita."

Amit Shah claimed that only Narendra Modi and the BJP possessed the capability to undertake such a monumental task, drawing parallels between the dedication displayed in the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the proposed temple for Goddess Sita.

The decision to build a temple for Goddess Sita holds immense significance in Hindu mythology, as she is revered as the wife of Lord Ram and a symbol of purity and devotion. According to Hindu scriptures, Sita is believed to have originated from an earthen pot while Raja Janak was plowing a field near Sitamarhi.

Amit Shah's announcement follows closely on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's participation in the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya earlier this year. Sitamarhi, one of the 40 constituencies in Bihar, is scheduled to go to polls in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections on May 20.

During his address, Shah also took aim at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, a key figure in the opposition INDIA bloc. He criticised Lalu Prasad's political maneuvers and alleged opportunism, accusing him of aligning with the Congress party solely for the sake of power politics.
