Jawaharpur in Derabassi reports fresh COVID-19 case; Mohali count 92

The total number of coronavirus cases in Mohali has increased to 92 after 6 new cases were reported on Friday including a fresh case from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi. According to the information, five of them are the Nanded pilgrims, who have recently returned from Sri Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra. One of them is from Badala and two from Khanpur.

A 20-year-old man has tested positive for coronavirus in Jawaharpur. He was tested negative earlier and tested positive again.

Meanwhile, the DC Mohali Girish Dayalan took to Twitter and announced that “Persons wanting to go to their home states may register at this portal (form will be up by Friday): http://covidhelp.punjab.gov.in. We will hold screening camps and issue certificates of fitness to those registered in 2 days. Movement is expected to start from May 5.”

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has crossed 550 after Jalandhar reported 16 new positive cases of coronavirus on Friday, taking the district tally to 105. Jalandhar has been declared in a red zone in the revised list of the Central Government. The district has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
