Mohali reports one more death due to coronavirus; toll rises to 6

Punjab News: The death toll in Mohali has increased to 6 after a new death was reported from Kharar on Tuesday. According to the information, a 70-year-old man from Kharar died due to the pandemic.

He was admitted to Mayo hospital for surgery and then sent to Level 3 hospital GMCH Patiala where he expired.

Also, Mohali reported 4 new cases of the novel coronavirus. A 40-year-old man from Zirakpur, a 48-year-old man from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi, a 38-year-old man from Nayagaon and a 50-year-old man from Baltana were tested positive for coronavirus.

Likewise, 8 new patients were declared cured on Tuesday. A 25-year-old man from Kharar, a 40-year-old man and 35-year-old man from Zirakpur, a 36-year-old woman from Derabassi and a 48-year-old woman, 50-year-old man, 18-year-old female and a 24-year-old man from Baltana, were declared cured.

Meanwhile, the total number of active cases has gone up to 79 while a total of 237 patients have been declared cured and discharged.
