PTC News Desk: In a major crackdown, Delhi police arrested 63 individuals in an overnight raid across multiple locations in the national capital in a massive crackdown on drugs.
The arrests were made within 24 hours under 'Operation Aaghat', which involved 500 police personnel and 40 specialised teams, led tot he recovery of 15 pistols along with significant quantities of MDMA, cocaine, heroine, and cash.
The operation targeted large scale criminal network operating in the South East Delhi region with an objective to mitigate illegal activities including drug trafficking and arms possession.
Delhi police has intensified its clampdown over drug nexus operating out of the state and attempts to dismantle the same are underway. The police is focusing on the financial backbone of drug cartels, adopting a zero-tolerance policy against drug-related crimes.
