Strong tremors jolt Delhi-NCR as 4.4 magnitude earthquake hits Haryana
According to the National Center for Seismology, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit Haryana's Jhajjar at 9.04 am. It is part of the National Capital Region, and is located nearly 60 kilometres from Delhi.
PTC News Desk: Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and other parts of the National Capital Region after an earthquake struck Haryana's Jhajjar district on Thursday morning. The tremors hit at 9.04 am and lasted for a few seconds.
According to the National Center for Seismology, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit Haryana's Jhajjar at 9.04 am. It is part of the National Capital Region, and is located nearly 60 kilometres from Delhi.
Several videos of the tremors being felt across Delhi-NCR are widely being circulated on social media showing fans and other household items swayed after the quake. The tremors were also felt in office areas in Noida and Gurugram, as computer systems shook and some professionals stepped out of their offices.
The earthquake jolted Delhi-NCR a day after night long heavy rain spell lashed the national capital prompting weather department to issue an orange alert.
