The motion poster, recently released, exudes eerie and spooky vibes while hinting at the film’s signature blend of horror and comedy. The visuals spark curiosity about what the makers have in store for audiences. Wamiqa Gabbi stars opposite Akshay Kumar, adding fresh energy to the project.
Expressing her excitement, Wamiqa shared how thrilled she is to be part of the film and to collaborate with both Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan.
The Bhooth Bangla motion poster leans heavily into an intense horror aesthetic, cleverly laced with full-on comedy. Akshay Kumar appears in his classic avatar, evoking nostalgia with his traditional attire, rudraksha beads, signature laugh and an ominous throne adorned with demonic faces and horned details-signalling the film’s grand, larger-than-life scale.
Earlier, Wamiqa shared a still from one of the film’s songs featuring herself and Akshay, accompanied by a heartfelt note: she wrote about growing up enjoying Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan films and how being part of their world feels like a childhood dream come true. She thanked producer Ektaa R Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Priyadarshan for the “FUNtastic experience,” and expressed her excitement for audiences to experience Bhoot Bangla. She also mentioned that this marks her second film with her favourite co-star, Tabu.
Set to hit theatres on April 10, Bhooth Bangla is produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms, in association with Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films. The horror-comedy also features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, and Asrani in key roles.
