Dhurandhar The Revenge: Aditya Dhar takes legal action against Filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS’s copyright claim
Aditya Dhar and his team have taken legal action against filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS over his claims that Dhurandhar is based on a stolen script.
'Dhurandhar The Revenge' surely is making waves for its enormous success but this time there is a twist. Filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS has accused Aditya Dhar of allegedly using his original script without authorization, claiming that key elements of the film bear similarities to his registered work.
Dhurandhar The Revenge which stars Ranveer Singh, according to Santosh is his story which was allegedly stolen from him by Aditya Dhar. He stated, "They have manipulated my project, script and exploited me. I have all the proof from the Screenwriters Association."
Aditya Dhar and his team, however, have denied the claims, asserting that Dhurandhar 2 is an independently developed project. The makers maintain that the screenplay and narrative were created through their own creative process and collaboration, dismissing the allegations as unfounded.
Santosh disagrees with how the situation has been described, saying that what he received was not an official legal notice but only a reply to his email. He claims that the response included warnings asking him not to complain, and that he was being accused of defaming the team for publicity. According to him, he made it clear that he intends to pursue the matter legally and asked them to stop messaging him and instead take the issue to court.
He also alleges that when he tried to raise his concerns with the production team, Jio Studios referred him to B62 Studios. Santosh further claims that he has been pressured to remain silent and that the producers have been troubling him for speaking publicly about the issue.
Amid the controversy, Dhurandhar The Revenge continues to generate strong nationwide buzz. The film has earned Rs 959.37 crore net domestically, with its global gross climbing to Rs 1,492.17 crore.
