India’s fastest sprinter Gurindervir Singh teams up with Alia Bhatt for ‘Alpha’ promotion

PTC Web Desk:  India's fastest sprinter Gurindervir Singh has joined Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt for the promotion of her upcoming film 'Alpha'. The collaboration has attracted attention on social media after both shared a special video on their Instagram accounts.

In the video, Gurindervir talks about the qualities required to stay ahead in any field, highlighting the importance of focus, dedication and hard work. The clip was shared with the tagline, "Alpha Meets an Alpha."

During their conversation, Alia Bhatt asked the athlete about the people and experiences that shaped his sporting career. Gurindervir revealed that legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt played a major role in inspiring him to pursue athletics.

Recalling his early days, he said that watching Bolt compete motivated him to dream of becoming a professional athlete and push his limits on the track.

The sprinter also spoke about the influence of his father, whose volleyball career was cut short due to an injury. According to Gurindervir, a conversation with his father made him realise the importance of making the most of sporting opportunities and encouraged him to take athletics seriously.

He also fondly remembered receiving his first pair of running spikes from his father, who had brought them from New Zealand. Gurindervir said the shoes were so special to him that he would carefully keep them on a table and never leave them on the floor.
