Farmer leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan tests positive for coronavirus

Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta (Ugrahan) chief Joginder Singh Ugrahan, who has been leading the farmers' protest against farm laws 2020 from the front, has tested positive for coronavirus.

Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan was admitted to a private hospital in Bathinda where he was tested for coronavirus. The report turned positive on Saturday.

Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta (Ugrahan) chief Joginder Singh Ugrahan, who has been leading farmers' protest, tested positive for coronavirus. 

Likewise, he has been shifted to the Covid ward of the hospital. Even as the district administration has asked all those who came in contact with him to get themselves tested.

Joginder Singh Ugrahan, who tested positive for coronavirus, has been raising his voice against farm laws 2020.

Thousands of farmers have been protesting against the farm laws 2020 at Delhi borders for more than 100 days.

While farmers have been adamant on their demand to repeal farm laws the government has been asking to re-consider its proposal to suspend the laws for 1-2 years and discuss the legislations clause-wise.

Farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
