Farmers' send written reply to the proposal sent by Centre
The farmers' organizations today rejected the proposal sent by the Union government to amend the agricultural laws and replied in writing to the Government of India.
They have given a written reply to the proposal sent by the Union government after six days.

At the same time, the farmers' organizations have asked the Government of India not to tarnish the image of the farmers' movement.
The Government had said that the farmers' organizations did not respond to the proposal in writing.
The Government is ready to amend the agriculture laws but the farmers' leaders said that they will not accept anything less than repeal of the agriculture laws. Farmers' organizations are adamant on repealing the agriculture laws. The farmers' movement has entered its 20th day today.

Sub: Government's proposals to farmer organisations
Ref: Written letter and proposals dated 9/12/2020, reference number 05/2020
With reference to the above letter and written proposals received from you, this is to inform the government that the farmer organisations had a joint meeting on the same day, discussed the proposals received from your side and rejected the same since these are along similar lines to the oral proposals put forward by the Government delegation on 5th December 2020 itself. In fact, We have already put forward our basic points orally in the various rounds of talks too, as you are aware, and therefore, did not respond back in writing on that day.
We also would like the government to stop defaming the farmers' movement and stop holding parallel conversations with other farmer's organisations.
