Four cops injured in a mob attack at Moga village
Four policemen were injured in a mob attack when they went to arrest two drug smugglers on Friday in Daulewala Mayar village in Moga district. Four policemen including in charge of the police post went to the village to arrest two proclaimed drug smuggling offenders.

The policemen went into the village to arrest Kuldeep Singh Bhola and Raj Kumar Raju. They were wanted in a case of attacking the police team on December 30, 2016. The police took both of them into the custody. Suddenly, a mob emerged and started pelting stones and sticks at them.
During this mob attack, Kuldeep and Raj Kumar managed to flee from their custody. The police registered a case of attempt to murder against both the accused and their family members.

The injured policemen were identified as ASI Beant Singh Bhatti, in charge of the Daulewala police post, his colleague ASI Balkar Singh, Head Constable Charanjit Singh and Constable Jaskaran Singh. They were rushed to the nearby hospital and were discharged after getting first aid.
