France 3rd Lockdown News: French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday ordered a 'limited lockdown' across the nation to curb the spread of coronavirus disease, the news agency AFP reported.

Meanwhile, all schools have been ordered to remain closed, Emmanuel Macron said.

The news of 3rd lockdown in France comes at a time when coronavirus cases have started rising.

Macron, who has been severely criticised for not imposing a third lockdown in his country, addressed the nation on Wednesday. He also urged people to adopt a strategy to contain the epidemic without shutting themselves in.

Even as he ordered schools to be shut down. Also, he announced restrictions on travel across France and non-essential shops to be closed for the next four weeks.

However, he gave a go-ahead to people for travel between the regions during the upcoming Easter holidays.

During the curfew hours from 7 pm to 6 am, or for trips exceeding 10 km, a certificate would be required, he said.

On Wednesday, France reported more than 53,000 fresh cases of Covid-19, but this number covered two days as no data was made public on Tuesday. With 304 new deaths, its death toll has increased to 95,667.
