Pakistan: Man kills friend for taking bite from his paramour’s burger
Pakistan: In an unusual incident, a young man in Karachi allegedly killed his friend over a dispute regarding a burger intended for his girlfriend. The incident, which occurred on February 8 in the Defence Phase 5 area, has been thoroughly investigated by police authorities who have compiled a detailed report.
As per the reports, the conflict arose when the victim, identified as Ali Keerio, purportedly consumed a burger that was meant for the accused's girlfriend. The accused, Daniyal, who is the son of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nazir Ahmed Mirbahar, reacted furiously to the situation.
The investigation revealed that Daniyal had invited his girlfriend, Shazia, to his residence on the day of the incident. Alongside them were the victim, Ali Keerio, and Daniyal's brother, Ahmer. Daniyal had ordered two burgers for himself and Shazia, but a dispute ensued when Keerio allegedly ate a portion of one of the burgers.
The altercation escalated leaded Daniyal to grab a guard's rifle and shoot Keerio, causing severe injuries. Unfortunately, Keerio succumbed to injuries in hospital.
Following a comprehensive investigation, the investigative officer concluded the inquiry and submitted the report to senior officials. The police officer's son, Daniyal Nazeer, has been detained and awaits trial in court for the crime.
This year, Karachi has witnessed a significant increase in robbery-related fatalities, with 56 reported deaths and over 200 injuries.
