Indian Air Force carried out combat drill along Pakistan border

The Indian Air force carried out a major readiness exercise along the Pakistan border on Thursday night. The combat drill was carried out over Punjab and Jammu. A large number of fighter aircraft participated in the exercise. IAF jets including frontline aircraft flew at supersonic speeds in the border region of Amritsar and Jammu.

The exercise was carried out to prepare them for any misadventure by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). The Indian Air Force has been on high alert since air strikes carried on a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist camp in Balakot. On March 12, two Pakistan Air Force jets flew over Pakistan occupied Kashmir from the line of control in the Poonch sector.

During the February 26 air strikes also, the PAF F-16s had to return gauging the enormity of the IAF attack with 12 Mirages.
