Maharashtra: 34-year-old ‘makes video of woman bathing’, held

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Thane on Sunday for recording the video of a woman bathing. According to media reports, the accused, Avinash Kumar Yadav is a student of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is perusing higher education. He was a resident of Kapurbawdi.

On Friday, a woman found a mobile phone on the bathroom window while she was bathing. She immediately alerted her husband who confiscated the phone. The accused was seen fleeing from the building. The people of his society nabbed him.

People also found recorded videos of men and women who lived in the same building, taking baths. The woman then filed a complaint against Avinash Kumar Yadav. On the basis of the complaint, he has been charged under Section 354 of the IPC.

Police is interrogating him. More details of the case are awaited.
