Minimum temperature hovers above normal in Punjab, Haryana

Chandigarh: As cold weather conditions have abated from most places in Punjab and Haryana, minimum temperature today again hovered a few notches above normal.

Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a low of 14.7 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal limits, a MeT Department official said here.

Ambala in Haryana registered a low of 13.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees more than normal limits.

Hisar recorded a low of 12.7 degrees Celsius, up two notches while Karnal's minimum temperature settled within the normal limits at 9.8 degrees Celsius.

Amritsar registered a low of 12.8 degrees Celsius, up by six notches while Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above normal.

Patiala registered a low of 13.4 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal.

Bathinda, Faridkot and Gurdaspur also recorded above normal minimum temperatures at 10.4 degrees Celsius, 12.8 and 10.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
