Prices for 19kg commercial LPG cylinders hiked from October 1, domestic rates remain unchanged
The price change mainly affects commercial users such as restaurants, hotels and businesses that use 19-kg cylinders.
PTC News Desk: The price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders has gone up from October 1, with the increase differing from city to city.
In Delhi, the price has increased by ₹62.50, from ₹2,747.50 to ₹2,810. In Mumbai, it has risen by ₹63 to ₹2,764, while in Chennai, the price has gone up by ₹66.50 to ₹2,983.
The biggest increase among the cities mentioned was in Patna, where the price rose by ₹71.50, from ₹3,029 to ₹3,100.50. In Lucknow, the new price is ₹2,932.50, an increase of ₹62.50.
Prices have also increased in other cities. The 19-kg cylinder now costs ₹3,450 in Leh, ₹3,073.50 in Tawang, ₹2,831.50 in Ahmedabad and ₹3,046 in Kanyakumari.
Domestic LPG prices unchanged
There is no change in the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders in the cities mentioned. The cylinder continues to cost ₹942 in Delhi, ₹941.50 in Mumbai and ₹957.50 in Chennai. In Lucknow, it remains ₹979.50, while in Patna it is ₹1,031.50.
The price change mainly affects commercial users such as restaurants, hotels and businesses that use 19-kg cylinders. Households using 14.2-kg cylinders are not affected by this particular revision.
LPG prices are influenced by international LPG prices and changes in currency rates.
