Air India Express plane stuck on Phuket runway after nose-wheel issue at Phuket airport

PTC News Desk: An Air India Express flight from Hyderabad made a hard landing at Phuket International Airport on Wednesday, damaging the aircraft’s nose landing gear and forcing authorities to close the runway for several hours.
All 133 passengers on board flight IX938 were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
Airport officials said the runway remained closed until around 6 pm local time so teams could inspect and clear the area after the incident. Early reports suggested that the aircraft’s nose landing gear was damaged during landing, which led to the hard touchdown.
Airport authorities temporarily suspended operations while officials checked the runway and made sure it was safe for other flights.
The exact cause of the incident was not immediately known.
