Coronavirus update: Nation witnesses Covid upsurge, logs 3,641 fresh cases

In the last 24 hours, there are 11 deaths reported so far from Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Data shows the toll has risen to 5,30,892 with 11 deaths till now.

COVID-19 UPDATES: On Monday India logged a single day spike of fresh 3,641 COVID-19 cases. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the active cases rose to 20,219.  

In the last 24 hours, there are 11 deaths reported so far from Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Data shows the toll has risen to 5,30,892 with 11 deaths till now. The deaths are reported from Maharashtra and one each in Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka and Rajasthan -- recorded in a 24-hour. The death toll also includes four deaths from Kerala data stated.

Union Health Ministry shared data where it shows the daily positivity rate at 6.12 while the weekly positivity was pegged at 2.45 per cent.

The total Covid cases all over India was at 4.47 crore (4,47,26,246), where now the active cases comprise of 0.05 per cent. According to the ministry website the infection has spread rapidly while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.76 per cent.

The case fatality rate has recorded at 1.19 while the number of people who have recovered from this illness is at 4.41 crore (4,41,75,135). According to the ministry website, 220.66 crore Covid vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive so far.
