PTC News Desk: The Supreme Court on March 11 granted 31-year-old Harish Rana 'right to die' with dignity after being in a vegetative state for 13 years.

Harish Rana has been shifted from his home to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, where a special team of doctors is carrying forward the process of passive euthanasia in accordance with the Supreme Court’s order.

His life support system has now been removed, and preparations are being made for his final farewell.

A deeply emotional video of his final moments is doing rounds on social media, which has moved the netizens to tears.

In the clip, Harish Rana can be seen lying on the bed with his gaze fixed upward. While the helplessness was clearly evident on his face, there appeared a strange sense of calmness of being relieved from the pain on his face.

Harish Rana, a student of Punjab University, fell from the fourth floor of a paying guest accommodation in 2013 and suffered severe injuries. He was placed on life support and has since remained bedridden. He now depends on a tracheostomy tube to breathe and a gastrojejunostomy tube for feeding.
