Hyderabad: 37-year-old woman techie with infant in arms jumps to death from sixth floor, baby survives

PTC News Desk: A 37-year-old woman, identified as Isha Sahu, died after allegedly jumping from the sixth floor of an apartment building in Hyderabad's Miyapur area while carrying her six-month-old daughter.
According to police, the incident took place on Friday afternoon. While Isha Sahu died from the fall, the infant survived with minor injuries. Police said the baby was saved after first landing on a protective fence before reaching the ground. Residents immediately rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where doctors said she is stable and out of danger.
Police sources said Isha, who was originally from Madhya Pradesh, had reportedly been struggling with severe insomnia, anxiety and symptoms associated with post-partum depression for several months. She is survived by her husband and two daughters — eight-year-old Vidi and six-month-old Vani.
Family members were inside the apartment when the incident occurred around 3:45 pm on Friday. The couple had been married for 11 years and both worked in the private sector.
