DMRC opens all metro stations day after CJP calls off Jantar Mantar protest
PTC News Desk: All Delhi Metro stations reopened for passengers on Sunday after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) ended its protest at Jantar Mantar. With the agitation called off, the security restrictions and temporary closures at 18 major Metro stations in central Delhi have also been removed. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) confirmed that both entry and exit gates at all stations are now open.
For the past few days, commuters had faced inconvenience due to security measures and staggered closures at busy stations such as Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Mandi House, ITO, and New Delhi. Other affected stations included Lok Kalyan Marg, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, and Jhandewalan.

The restrictions were lifted after security agencies reviewed the situation and removed barricades following the official end of the protest.
Mobile internet services have also been restored at Jantar Mantar and nearby areas in central Delhi. Internet access had been suspended for several days as the youth-led protest over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examination gained momentum.
The CJP said it withdrew the agitation in "good faith" after receiving assurances from the government on its demands.
"Cockroach Janta Party declares that we withdraw the agitation in good faith, with the understanding that the agreed-upon terms will be executed within the agreed-upon timelines," CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das said.
