CJP founder Abhijit Dipke diagnosed with typhoid, vows to continue protest until Pradhan resigns
PTC News Desk: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday said he has been diagnosed with typhoid but insisted that his illness will not affect the movement demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a video shared on social media, Dipke said he had been unwell for the past few days and is currently undergoing treatment.
"Congratulations to all of you for making this movement such a big success. I am very sure that if we continue protesting like this, we will get Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation," he said.
He revealed that medical tests confirmed he had typhoid and said he is receiving intravenous (IV) treatment every day.
Despite his health condition, Dipke thanked CJP supporters for continuing peaceful protests across the country and expressed confidence that the movement would achieve its goal.
He said the growing public support for the agitation has strengthened the campaign, which is demanding accountability in the examination system, reforms in recruitment and entrance exams, and the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations.
The CJP-led protest has also received support from several public figures, including activist Sonam Wangchuk, who joined the movement on June 28 and observed a 26-day hunger strike.
Wangchuk ends hunger strike
Wangchuk ended his fast earlier this week after the Centre gave written assurances that no action would be taken against peaceful protesters, Parliament would discuss examination reforms and accountability, and the demand for compensation to the families of students who died by suicide following the alleged NEET paper leak would be considered positively.
