PTC News Desk: After a predominantly dry and cold January, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh can expect relief with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting light to moderate rain in the upcoming days. According to the IMD's Monday evening bulletin in Chandigarh, two successive western disturbances from January 30 to February 3 are likely to influence northwest India, bringing rainfall to several areas in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. The forecast indicates that these regions may experience rain from Tuesday to Thursday and into the weekend, with isolated thunderstorms expected in parts of Punjab.

Since January 26, the weather in the region has been improving, and the bulletin predicts a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius over the next four to five days in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.

As of Tuesday morning, SBS Nagar in Punjab recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 4.0 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana had the highest minimum temperature at 9.7 degrees Celsius.
