Lohagad fort murder case: The Lohagad Fort murder case has taken a new turn after the police claimed that co-accused Chetan Chaudhary allegedly encouraged Siya Goyal to kill her fiancé, realtor Ketan Agarwal. Investigators said the revelation emerged during the questioning of both accused.

According to a police official, Chetan Chaudhary allegedly persuaded Siya Goyal to execute the murder plan during their visit to Lohagad Fort on June 18. The police also questioned Siya Goyal's brother as part of the ongoing investigation into the Lohagad Fort murder case.

Officials further stated that media reports claiming Sia Goyal disliked Ketan Agarwal because he wore a wig could not be confirmed as the sole reason behind the alleged crime. While he did wear a wig, investigators said the motive behind the murder is still being examined.

The police have alleged that Sia Goyal, 20, and Chaudhary, 22, who were reportedly in a relationship, conspired to kill the 25-year-old realtor. According to investigators, when the trio reached a cliff point at Lohagad Fort, Sia allegedly gave a pre-decided signal, following which Chetan Chaudhary pushed Agarwal off the cliff.

Meanwhile, Sia Goyal's mother has claimed that her daughter did not want to accompany Ketan Agarwal on the trek. She said on the evening of June 17, Ketan Agarwal had a video call with Siya and requested her to join him for the trip. During the call, Ketan Agarwal's mother also allegedly persuaded Siya to go.

According to her mother, Siya had refused because she wanted to rest ahead of a family function scheduled for the following day. However, she eventually agreed to accompany Agarwal after repeated requests.

Sia Goyal's father also dismissed reports suggesting the family had made extravagant wedding arrangements, including booking a palace and arranging a chartered aircraft. He confirmed that the wedding was planned in Udaipur and that around 70 hotel rooms had been booked at a cost of approximately Rs 81,000 per room per day.

He added that the family's total wedding expenditure was expected to remain below Rs 3 crore, denying speculation of a much larger budget.

The investigation into the case is continuing  and the police are gathering further evidence to establish the sequence of events and the alleged motive behind the murder.
