Six killed as ropeway crashes at Pavagadh Shaktipeeth in Gujarat
Among the victims were two lift operators, two workers, and two other persons
PTC Web Desk: Six persons lost their lives after a tragic ropeway accident at the famous Shaktipeeth in Pavagadh, Gujarat, on Saturday afternoon.
According to initial reports, the mishap occurred around 3.30 pm when the rope of the goods ropeway allegedly snapped, causing the crash. Panchmahal Collector confirmed that among the victims were two lift operators, two workers, and two other persons.
Soon after the incident, the local police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. Authorities have ordered a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and to ensure safety measures are reviewed for ropeway operations in the area.
