Tata to manufacture Apple iPhones in India for domestic, global markets: Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar

PTC Web Desk: Electronics and Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday announced that Tata Group would start making Apple iPhones in India for domestic and global markets within two and a half years.



The Tata Group has officially acquired the operations of Apple supplier Wistron Corp, as announced during a recent board meeting. This strategic move, acknowledged by the Union Minister, marks an important step towards building a global supply chain based in India and led by Indian companies.
