In a major development, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, on Thursday, said the country will drop its requirement of visas for Chinese and Indian tourists or businesspeople.
Bolsonaro, a far-right politician, came to power in 2019 and has made it a policy decision to reduce visa requirements from a number of developed countries.
The announcement came during the official visit of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to China, the first he made to expand the policy to the developed world.

Earlier this year, the Brazilian government also scrapped the policy of visa requirements for tourists and businesspeople from the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia. However, these countries haven't suspended their visa requirements for Brazilian citizens.
