One DRG jawan injured in an encounter with Naxals in Chattisgarh
One jawan was injured in the encounter that broke out between security forces and Naxals on Sunday in Chhattisgarh. The injured jawan belonged to District Reserve Guard (DRG). The encounter broke out near the jungle area of Sonpur in Chhattisgarh.

One DRG jawan injured in an encounter with Naxals in Chattisgarh
The security forces received information that more than 200 Naxals were hiding in the area. In a joint operation, Special Task Forces (STF) and the DRG launched a search operation in the area. At around 10 am, there was a heavy exchange of fire near Ikkametta jungles. The encounter lasted for over an hour.

One DRG jawan injured in an encounter with Naxals in Chattisgarh
The injured jawan has been identified as Dayaram Nuretti. He sustained minor injuries. He was rushed to an Army hospital. His condition is reported to be stable by the doctors.
