Trouble mounts for Elvish Yadav : The renowned YouTuber and social media influencer, Elvish Yadav, finds himself embroiled in yet another legal case as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a money laundering investigation against him.
ED will also look into the convoy of costly cars owned by him. Along with Elvish, ED will question the owners of major hotels, resorts, and farm residences. Elvish was recently detained by the Noida Police and is currently on bail.
Notably, on March 17, Elvish was arrested by the police along with five others and all were charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. Elvish was sent to 14 days of judicial custody and is being interrogated by the police.
Noida Police has invoked the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, indicating Yadav's alleged involvement in drug-related activities such as procurement and distribution, making obtaining bail a challenging prospect.
Six individuals, including Elvish Yadav, were implicated under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code for purportedly procuring snake venom for a party in Noida’s Sector 51. This operation was conducted under the auspices of People for Animals, a wildlife conservation organisation founded by Maneka Gandhi.
The incident regarding the rave party dates back to November 3 of last year when it was hosted at a banquet hall in Noida Sector 51. It's worth noting that Elvish was not present at the party.
