The executive director of the National disaster agency, Richard Jalad, told the media that the causalities were mostly killed when their homes collapsed in landslides. It happened days after heavy rains continued for days in several regions of the country. He further told that if the disaster agency did not find the missing, the death toll will reach 105. On Sunday the tropical depression brought heavy rains that led to landslides and flooding in Bicol and Eastern Visayas regions.
