Polish mayor stabbed at charity event, attacker in custody

A Polish mayor was stabbed with a knife at a charity event on Sunday in Gdansk in Poland. The police has arrested the attacker.

The Gdansk mayor, Pawel Adamowicz, was stabbed with a knife close to his heart. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. The doctors briefed the media that the Mayor’s condition is serious and is undergoing surgery.

Meanwhile, police is interrogating the attacker to find out the motive behind the attack. But, until now, the motive behind the attack is unclear.
