PTC Web Desk:  A fresh controversy has surfaced within the Yadav family after Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and brother of party chief Akhilesh Yadav, publicly declared his intention to divorce his wife, Aparna Yadav, through a social media post.

In an Instagram post shared from his verified handle @iamprateekyadav, Prateek stated that he no longer wished to continue his marriage and wanted the divorce process to be completed at the earliest. The post contained serious allegations against Aparna Yadav, accusing her of straining family relationships and placing personal ambition above emotional bonds.

“I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible,” the post read. It further alleged that Aparna Yadav had damaged his family ties and showed no concern for his mental health. Prateek also described himself as unfortunate to have married her, claiming he was going through a difficult psychological phase without support.

The message triggered immediate political and personal reactions, given the prominence of the Yadav family in Uttar Pradesh politics.

However, Aparna Yadav’s side has strongly denied the allegations. Her representatives claimed that Prateek Yadav’s Instagram account had been hacked and that he was unable to remove or modify the post. They added that the statements circulating on social media do not reflect Aparna Yadav’s position and that a formal clarification would be issued soon.

As of now, no official statement has been released by either Prateek Yadav or Aparna Yadav directly, and the matter remains unresolved amid growing public attention.
