Anand Karaj to be held only in gurdwaras, complete ban on AI films depicting Sikh Gurus: Akal Takht

PTC News Desk: A complete ban has been imposed on holding Anand Karaj ceremony outside Gurdwara premises, said Akal Takht acting Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj. The decision was taken during a meeting of all five Sikh Sahibans were held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar.
The Jathedar emphasised that the practice of conducting Anand Karaj ceremonies in parks, hotels or commercial venues is against Sikh code of conduct, hence it is unanimously decided that Anand Karaj will be performed only in gurdwaras, and it will not be permitted at any other location.
In addition, a complete ban has been imposed on taking the sacred saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to any wedding venue.
He further said that a strict action will be taken against ragis or jathas who violate these directives.
A complete ban has been imposed creation of AI (Artificial Intelligence)–based videos depicting Sikh Gurus. The Jathedar further asserted that with the advancement of technology it has been decided that AI-generated or artificial films on religious subjects will not be allowed, as they have an adverse impact on Sikh traditions and religious discipline.
Jathedar Gargaj also said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib remains fully committed to safeguard Sikh maryada (code of conduct) and that it will continue to take firm stance on such matters in the future.
