Notably, the Amritsar police on Sunday registered an FIR against Laljit Bhullar after Punjab Warehousing Corporation DM Gagandeep Randhawa committed suicide on Saturday. Bhullar's father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and PA Dilbagh Singh were also booked.
Victim's wife Upinder Kaur, in her complaint, accused Bhullar, his father and PA of forcing her husband to take the extreme step. She accused Bhullar of assaulting her husband, and repeatedly humiliating her husband over the allotment of warehouse tenders. After bearing the torture, Randhawa allegedly consumed celphos on Saturday morning. Before taking the extreme step, he recorded a short video, which is now viral on social media.
