Mohali horror: Four-year-old kidnapped in broad daylight as grandparents scream for help, fight back
According to the child’s father, there has been an ongoing dispute with his wife, and a custody case is currently pending in court.
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was kidnapped in broad daylight in Kurali in Punjab's Mohali district while her grandparent kept screaming for help and relentless fought in an attempt to save the child.
The dramatic kidnapping was captured on residential CCTV outside the child's home. The video shows two bike-borne assailants arrive and attempt to drag the young girl who was on scooter with her grandfather.
As the grandmother stepped off to open the gate, two individuals on a motorcycle ambushed them, attempting to snatch the child from her grandfather. What followed was a deadly scuffle prompting the grandparents to put their lives at risk to save the child and going as far as blocking getaway car. However the adbuctors managed to force the girl into the vehicle and speed away.
After the incident, the kid’s father lashed out at his wife.
“We do not know the people who came and took my daughter away. However, I suspect this was done by my wife. We have a case ongoing over the child’s custody. Nonetheless, she took the law into her hands and did this,” the father said.
According to the child’s father, there has been an ongoing dispute with his wife, and a custody case is currently pending in court. He suspects that his wife may have been involved in the kidnapping with the help of the abductors.
He also said that his mother-in-law and a person named Sandeep is involved in the kidnapping, urging the authorities to conduct a proper investigation into the case.
