Moosewala’s father, Balkour Singh, had also made allegations against music producer Bunty Bains, but his name is not mentioned in the FIR.
PTC News Desk: In a significant development, Mansa police have registered a case against a company and three individuals based on the complaint of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's parents over alleged unpaid royalty
Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, staged a sit-in protest outside Mansa SSP office accusing a firm of financial fraud. They alleged that the company owners were taking the earnings of their late son and not providing any financial details. They also claimed that around ₹30 crore had been misappropriated.
In a swift action, a case has been registered at Mansa's Sadar Police Station against One Digital Company, along with Gurpreet Singh and Shabbir Momin, based on Charan Kaur’s statement. Moosewala’s father, Balkour Singh, had also made allegations against music producer Bunty Bains, but his name is not mentioned in the FIR.
During the February 11 protest outside the Mansa SSP office, Balkour Singh said that the companies handling his son’s song's marketing and digital rights had neither provided audit reports nor paid royalty amounts for nearly a year.
Since Moosewala’s death, several of his songs such as “War,” “Mera Na,” and “SYL” have been released and topped global charts. His YouTube channel has reportedly crossed 6 billion views. The family says this success is the result of their son’s hard work and that only his parents have rights over his earnings.
