SC panel slams Bathinda DC over absence during panel head Sampla's Punjab visit

Chandigarh, December 7: The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) on Wednesday slammed the Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda for his absence during the panel chairman Vijay Sampla's Punjab visit.

Notably, the SC panel head Sampla visited the state of Punjab on Wednesday. However, during his visit, Bathinda DC failed to provide the protocol/transport facilities to him. The Bathinda DC also did not meet Sampla during his visit.

Taking the incident into notice, the National Commission for Scheduled Caste issued a notice seeking an explanation from the DC.
