PTC News Desk: Three youths were killed in a tragic road accident on the Fatehgarh Churian–Sangatpura road in Punjab's Gurdaspur district after their bike was hit by a speeding car.

The deceased have been identified as Pradeep Singh (25), Jaj Masih/Jagtar Singh (35) and Sandeep Singh (38), all residents of Hardorwal Kalan and were travelling towards Amritsar on a motorcycle. All three victims were married.

The collision was so massive that the motorcycle was left completely damaged while the car dragged it for nearly 100 metres, leaving the three riders dead.

After the accident, the occupants of the car allegedly fled the scene after taking the victims’ mobile phones and important vehicle documents.

The situation was further complicated as police officials reportedly got caught up in a jurisdiction dispute, leaving the bodies on the road for a long time. Police from Jhander police station have now registered a case and started efforts to identify and trace the accused. Local residents have expressed anger over the police response.

The incident unfolded after a speeding Indigo car (PB 18 T 2535) coming from the opposite direction suddenly crashed into the bike.

The impact was so serious that Pradeep Singh and Jagtar Singh died on the spot. Sandeep Singh was critically injured and was taken by passersby to Dheendsa Hospital in Fatehgarh Churian. He was later being shifted to Amritsar due to his serious condition but died on the way.
