Sarna brothers move court, seek stay on work on DSGMC's 125-bed hospital

Paramjit Singh Sarna and his brother Harinder Singh Sarna of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Delhi, have moved a Delhi court seeking a stay on the construction of a 125-bed state-of-the-art hospital being built by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) leaders have filed a writ petition in the court through their grandson Sahibjit Singh Bindra.

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee was to dedicate the hospital to the public on August 13.

Hearing the petition on Friday, the court scheduled the next hearing for August 11 while seeking a response from the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in this regard.

Notably, 'sangat' from the United States, UK, France and Australia have made contributions for the construction of the state-of-the-art hospital.
